Civil Defence parades 4 notorious kidnappers in Ekiti
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command has parades four notorious kidnappers on Monday in the State capital.
The suspects were alledgedly involved in kidnapping, conspiracy, and theft.
Commandant of the Corps in the State, Mr. John Olatunde Fayemi said the suspects were arrested by officers of the command during the new year celebration.
Among the suspects are Tobi Olayinka, Ayodeji Fanase, and Daniel Emmanuel.
NSCDC commander, Fayemi said that Tobi Olayinka was arrested by the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) for an alleged threat on one Hamzat Adebisi whom he was a former Sales Rep to.
He was said to have demanded N1.4 million from his former employer as ransom not to hurt him.
According to the commander, he was arrested at a point of collecting the ransom paid by the victim.
Also, Ayodeji Fanase and Daniel Emmanuel were paraded to have stolen the sum of 500,000 and stealing of iron spreadsheet respectively.
The Ekiti NSCDC boss cautioned residents to desist from involving in criminal activities, noting that no individual will be spared when caught in the act.
He equally noted that the suspects would be arraigned in court after investigations have been concluded.
