Marwa loses first wife

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (Rtd) has lost Hajia Zainab Marwa, his first wife.

The death his wife was contained in a statement on Saturday by his family, saying, Hajia Marwa died in the early hours of Saturday at the age of 66 after brief illness.

Hajia Marwa has four grown children with 10 grandchildren as well as her siblings and a surviving aged mother.

She was said to have championed the cause of women and that of girl-child when she was alive.

The statement said she will be buried according to Islamic rites at a date to be announced.
