Kogi Works ministry staff told to justify governor’s attention through commitment in year 2022
The staff of Kogi State Ministry of Works and Housing have been charged to be more committed to the their job in the year 2022 to justify the immense attention given to the Ministry by Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere made this charge on Thursday at the Conference Hall of the Ministry in Lokoja while addressing the staff of the Ministry during their new year general meeting.
He further noted that the only way the Ministry could complement the effort of Governor Yahaya Bello in his multiple infrastructural dispay is for all to be recommitted to their jobs because “to whom much is given much is expected” adding that “the consistent progress towards sustainable, verifiable and replicable infrastructures in the State has made the Governor uniquely outstanding amidst counterparts.
Speaking on the welfare of the staff, the Commissioner assured his staff that the state Government will continue to positively impact on the staff for more output, stressing that “when you do well you would be well rewarded.”
In a closing remark, the permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Tpl Ramatu Baba appreciated all the staff for the synergy enjoyed in the year 2021 and enjoined them to add more value to the work as such would distinctively distinguished the Ministry of Works and Housing in the State.
The meeting meeting was rounded up with a one minute silence in respect of two their staff lost in the year 2021.
