OPC arrests 2 men after exhuming 16 skulls at cemetery in Oyo
The Odua Peoples Congress operatives have arrested two middle aged men exhuming skulls and body parts from a burial ground at kilometre 1, Moniya-Iseyin road on Tuesday in Ibadan.
The men who were identified as Alfa Yunusa Atikoko, and Wasiu Ajikanle were arrested while they have already exhumed 16 skulls and some human body parts and parked them in sacks.
It was the combined Odua Peoples Congress and Yoruba Revolutionary Movement (YOREM) that were involved in the joint operation.
A source said, there have been missing corpses at the burial ground for quite sometime now without those guarding the cemetery unable to account for them.
The suspects have been handed over to the Police for investigation and prosecution.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations officer, Adewale Osifeso, said the necessary update would be provided soon, but did not at press time.
