Breaking: Police releases Okorocha’s in-law Nwosu
The Imo State Police Command on Monday released Mr Uche Nwosu who was arrested while worshipping in St. Peters Anglican Church at Eziama Obieri in Nkwerre Local Government Council of Imo State.
His arrest was mixed with skepticism of abduction by gunmen until the Police Command through its Public Relations Officer cleared the air that he was arrested.
Uche Nwosu was formerly Chief of Staff to Senator Rochas Okorocha when he was governor of Imo State and his son-in-law.
He was the Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Imo State.
His arrest threw the Eziama Community into panic on Sunday, given the Gestapo style with which he was whisked away.
Nwosu’s Special Adviser Media, Nwadike Chikezie, said on Monday that he has spoken with his boss who also extends his greetings to those that stood with him.
“I have spoken with him and he extended his greetings to all of us out there.
“While we await police report on why the abduction and arrest, we call on everyone to remain calm and focused because God is in charge of the whole situation.
