Confusion trails alledged abduction of Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu from Church
Confusion continue to trail the alledged abduction of Mr Uche Nwosu from a Church service at Eziama Obieri in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State on Sunday.
Senator Rochas Okorocha’s son inlaw was alledgedly abducted while worshipping with his family during a Church service at the St. Peter’s Anglican after some suspected gunmen who operated in an Armoured Personnel Carrier and Hilux vans, stormed the area.
The gunmen opened fire sporadically and whisked Mr Nwosu away in full glare of his security guards who didn’t resist the gunmen.
Meanwhile, Nwosu’s associates insisted that he was kidnapped, but some people said, he was arrested on the order of the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
But reacting to the development, Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba denied the governor’s involvement.
While Emelumba could not confirm if it was an arrest or a kidnap incident, he said that it was “ridiculous” to allege that the governor had a hand in the disappearance of Nwosu.
Imo State State Police Command speaking through its PPRO, Michael Abattam, said they were not aware of Nwosu’s arrest or kidnap.
