Zamfara female Commissioner quits to serve as Commissioner in Hope Uzodinma government

Zamfara State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajia Rabi Shinkafi has tendered her resignation letter to governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle.

She is to pick up appointment as Commissioner in Imo State, South East, Nigeria, a State ruled by governor Hope Uzodinma.

Amid speculations that all was not well with her and Zamfara State governor, she confirmed her resignation and denied of any frosty relationship with Zamfara governor and the State first.lady.

She confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria, saying: “I resigned my appointment as Commissioner in Zamfara to enable me to pick another appointment as Commissioner in Imo.

CAPITAL POST could not confirm the portfolio Imo governor will offer her, but she wrote to appreciate her former principal, Bello Matawalle and his wife, Hajia Aisha Matawalle for their understanding and cooperation while she served as Commissioner in the State cabinet.

Hajia Shinkafi told mischief makers to excuse her, insisting that she maintain cordial relationship with the governor up to the time of her resignation and after.

“All the speculations in the social media about my resignation are completely false; it was just work of mischief makers,’’ she said.

“I have a perfect and cordial relationship with the governor and his wife. I consider them as my family and they were in the picture of my going to Imo.

“Both Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo and Matawalle discussed it as fellow All Progressives Congress governors and as friends too.”
