Christmas celebration: Kogi CP, talks tough, order operatives to be hard on criminals
To ensure a hitch-free Christmas and new year celebrations in Kogi State, the Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dauda Dabban has ordered for a watertight security across the State.
He stated this during a conference with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as Divisional Police Officers.
He reiterated the Command’s level of preparedness, determination and commitment in synergy with other security agencies in ensuring adequate security of life and property in the State.
He charged all the Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders, as well as Divisional Police Officers to beef up security in their Area of Responsibilities (AOR) and ensure massive deployment of patrol Teams along the major highways and undercover operations to black spots, flash points and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the State and make sure that detection of crimes are prompt to serve as effective deterrent to all criminals
The Commissioner called on parents to caution their children and wards not to fall victims of playing banger also known as knockout, as anybody caught causing trouble will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
To this end, the Commissioner urged the good people of the State to always avail the Command with correct and useful information on the activities of criminal elements in order to curtail their acts of criminality in the State.
