Horror as bandits set man ablaze in his car in Buhari’s State
Lamentation and wailing gripped Katsina State on Thursday immediately news filtered in that bandits locked a man in his car and set it on fire.
The burning alive of a man today is coming up after two weeks that bandits burnt alive passengers in Sokoto that sparked outrage.
On Tuesday, in Fasakari Local Government Council of Katsina State, a man was confirmed to have been set on fire by bandits, raising fears that they were gradually becoming deadlier than ever.
Deputy Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, and a member representing Faskari constituency, said, the victim was burnt alive in his car.
Accordingly to him, Tuesday’s incident was the forth in a week, saying some were maimed, while others were abducted.
The Deputy Speaker said, a village called Kwakware was attacked with 17. villagers who are mostly women abducted, while a driver was stopped way and was set on fire inside his car.
“Only yesterday, Tuesday, they killed seven people and abducted five, and the place where the attacks took place was just a short distance from a military checkpoint,” he said.
Protesters blocked a major road in the state over the attacks by bandits.
Last week, Governor Bello Masari led some elders to President Muhammadu Buhari over the killings in the state.
The president had assured them that efforts were being made to address the insecurity in the North West and other parts of the country.
