COVID-19: Oyo Deputy governor risks impeachment anytime soon
Over unresolved issues that borthers on the constitution of the Taskforce on COVID-19 in Oyo State, the Deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan might be impeached anytime soon.
Governor Seyi Makinde is said to be keen on removing his deputy for daring to walk on different pathways in the matter of the COVID-19, sources said.
To this extent, forces are already mobilising themselves against Engr. Olaniyan in exploitation of Seyi’s mindset of doing away with his deputy.
GSM as fondly called, was sworn into office on May 29, 2019 as a first timer alongside his deputy.
Currently, serious stakeholders have not been seen to be wading into the matter in attempt to resolve the frosty relationship yet.
Both are of the Peoples Democratic Party.
