Breaking: Daredevil armed robbers attack 3 banks, 2 persons feared killed in Kogi

Information reaching CAPITAL POST on Tuesday evening said armed robbers have attacked three banks in Egbe town in Yagba West Local Government Council in Kogi West Senatorial district in with two persons feared killed.

The source told our correspondent that the robbers numbering 20 were fully loaded in three vehicles with dangerous weapons invaded the banks with heavy shootings.

The banks attacked are Access, and First Banks in Egbe, while they also moved to Odo-Eri, headquarters of Yagba East Local Government Council and attacked Union Bank PLC.

The source said, robbers detonated explosives in their operations, according to eye witnesses.

Kogi State Police Commissioner Idirisu Dauda Dabban has confirmed the robbery incident, saying that he was waiting for details from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Yagba west.
