Arise Nigeria has carpeted the leadership of Boboye Oyeyemi in the Federal Roads Safety Corps, FRSC in the last six years over his inability to address major traffic offenders that indulged in one way driving and making phone calls while driving even in the heart of Federal Capital Territory.

The group according to the image maker, Abdullahi Kaltungo said this has increased the rate of deaths through car accidents, lamenting the FRSC was in good shape before he took over six years ago compared to what it is now.

In a statement which was signed and made available to CAPITAL POST on Monday in Abuja by the group, accused
officials of FRSC across the country of paying mere lip service to numerous offenders across the country.

He said the Corps Marshal rather than giving more attention to traffic offenders indulge in wild goose chase and prograes that is not geared towards improving roads traffic to secure travellers and road users.

“The easiest offence in the country is often times road users preoccupied major high ways with one way driving across the country, and usually on phone while driving.

“These two ugly trend has led to loss of many innocent lives due to negligence of duty on the part of FRSC management and officials.”

He warned on the consequences of the Corps continuing to overlook the major offences, saying it is not only during yuletide that special attention is given to road users.
