2023: Former AGF, Aondoakaa speaks on what he will do differently if he becomes Benue governor
The ex-Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoakaa, SAN, said employment and agriculture would be his focus if he becomes the governor of Benue State in 2023.
The Benue governorship hopeful stated this in an interview, saying that as a major rice producer in West Africa for ten years, he knows what it takes to pull out youths from the streets, if he becomes the governor of Benue State.
Chief Aondoakaa is Chairman, Board of Directors of MIKAP Nigeria Limited, producers of Miva rice, stressing that as a “major producer in Nigeria, he would replicate the same feat to the advantage of Benue youths.
He said Benue is a State with potentials to create wealth through agriculture in Nigeria, saying that there should be no excuses not to harness opportunities in agriculture.
According to him, he will give priority attention to agricultural processing chains, a development, he said, would create massive job opportunities and to generate foreign earnings.
Aondoakaa applauded President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governor of Central Bank CBN, Godwin Emiefele for empowering rice farmers through the Anchor Borrowers programme, saying “Rice farmers are now smiling to the bank.
“From the performances of President Muhammadu Buhari, I am confident that Nigeria and Benue in particular will vote APC come 2023.”
