Governor Masari’s Commissioner, Rabe Nasir assassinated

Katsina State in the North West Nigeria was on Thursday thrown into morning as gunmen assassinated Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Rabe Nasir

He was eliminated at his residence in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis on Wednesday night.

Late Nasir formerly served as Special Adviser on Science and Technology to governor Aminu Masari before he became a Commissioner.

A family source said security operatives have taken over the residence.

Born in Mani, Mani local government area of Katsina State, Nasir was educated at the University of Abuja, University of Kansas Lawrence, Bayero University Kano, and Government Secondary School Giwa, Kaduna State.

He worked with the Department of State Security (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).

He was also a member of the House of Representatives between 2007 to 2011, representing Mani/Bindawa federal constituency.
