Breaking: Tension as fresh explosion rock Maiduguri
Tension grips residents of Maiduguri as four separate explosions were heard in different locations with billows of smoke early Saturday morning.
The attacks were believed to have been carried out by Boko Haram fighters and members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).
CAPITAL POST gathered that a village in Gomari district and a 1000 housing units,an estate in Maiduguri were part of places hit by explosion.
The explosions were as a result of rockets fired by terrorists, but were quickly repelled by troops and an airforce task team which forced Terrorists to beat a retreat.
A structure near the Hajj Transit Camp, where repentant Boko Haram fighters are being housed was also targeted, but there were no reports of deaths
Speaking to one of the victims who was among those killed, Mallam Kulima said he owes it all to God to thank him for preserving his and his family’s life, as no one was killed.
