Ex-Super Eagles Star, Tijani Babangida marries Kannywood Actress, Maryam Waziri
The ex-Super Eagles football star, Tijani Babangida on Friday last week hooked to a popular Kannywwod actress, Maryam Waziri in Kaltungo, Gome State in the Northeast, Nigeria.
The event was not much of hype, but a day after, the actress posted a video of her on Twitter and Instagram alerting her fans that she has been changed from being single.
The Video titled: “officially taken”, and ring emoji was posted on Saturday.
Babangida became famous and renown across the world for his exploit and dexterity on the field of football when he joined the Dream Team that won gold in Atlanta in 1996.
The football maestro was also conferred with the chieftaincy title of Baraden Wazirin Kaltungo, while he used the Chieftaincy regalia to posed for picture with his new bride that hits the social media.
The former Ajax footballer, 48, got married to Maryam who was born in Gombe on November 9, 1992.
Maryam, now 29 rose to stardom for her lead role as Laila in a movie titled Labarina. Laila is a nickname known by her fans.
Babangida is currently the President of the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers after he retired in 2014 and also works as a football agent.
