Peaceful coexistence: SGF, CYMS collaborates to organize national conference
The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is set to collaborate with the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS) to organise a national conference on promotion of peaceful coexistence and religious and ethnic cohesion.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the CYMS’s Director General, Mr Obinna Nwaka on Tuesday 30th November 2021.
According to Nwaka, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has agreed to partner with the pro government organisation to organize the national conference which seeks to address challenges responsible for lack of peaceful coexistence, religious crisis and incessant civil unrest confronting the nation.
The conference is also expected to come up with some resolutions, recommendations and to come up with a comprehensive report to the Federal government through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) for policy implementation.
Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) while assuring them of his high regards, also advised the organisation to forward thier request to relevant government agencies for necessary action to ensure a successful conference.
The Director General, Committee of Youth on mobilization and sensitization (CYMS), Obinna Nwaka while commending the SGF for its support since the establishment of the organisation, stated that the CYMS will soon furnish the SGF with the concept document and also constitute a Planning Committee followed with announcement of other vital information regarding the national conference to the public for participation.
CAPITAL POST learnt that religious and traditional leaders from various works of life, including other relevant stakeholders will be present at the National conference to brainstorm on the peace and unity of Nigeria.
