Tragedy as bride dies on her wedding day in Kano

Tragedy has struck as Hannatu Yahaya, age 30 died on her wedding day after she took ill.

She reportedly died last Saturday, a day she was supposed to have wedded to her fiancee, Isyaka Yusuf in Kawon Maigari, Kano.

An eye witness account said, on Saturday, late Hannatu began acting erratically when she was ready to be transferred to her husband’s house, according to family members.

“All of a sudden, she began destroying property, then the amily members started praying for her before rushing her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.”

The late Hannatu was said to have been battling with ulcer ailment and was rushed to the hospital in Kano.

She however discharged after one week and got ill again on Thursday, November and was treated.

On Saturday, however, just as she was going to be escorted to her husband’s residence, things took a dramatic turn and she could not make it.

She was buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday, November 28.
