Suspected kidnappers ambushes Bello’s Commissioner, shot him on leg in Kogi

Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Adewale Omofaye was ambushed on Sunday by suspected kidnappers and got shot on his leg.

He was reportedly shot at Ikoyi Iyara in Kogi West Senatorial district at about 5.00pm, when gunmen attempted to kidnap him, CAPITAL POST gathered.

Reports said the Commissioner left his village to Lokoja when suddenly five gunmen waylaid and opened fire on his vehicle.

The Commissioner and two persons were inside the car at the time of attack with only him sustaining gun shot injuries in narrow escape
