Bandits leader who led operation on Sunday along the Kaduna-Abuja highway has been reportedly killed.
Last Sunday’s bandits’ attack was one too many that led to the killing of a former Governorship aspirant from Zamfara State, while several others were abducted.
The slain leader was said to have led.seriesnof attacks on the highway.
A source said he was ambushed by security operatives, but there was fierce gun battle that killed him.
He was identified as Yellow Baba Arusa. A motorcycle and a rifle were said to be recovered from the gang.
They were five in number at a time security operatives engaged them in gun duel, around Kaduna South Local Government Area while on their way to buy alcohol and pentazocine; an opioid pain medication.
