SWAGA’23 said, they were not informed by organisers of the rally, hence, they would not participate, despite being listed for participation.
National Secretary of SWAGA’23, Otunba
Otunba Bosun Oladele, in a chat with journalists explained the Central Working Committee of SWAGA’23 was not informed of the rally, therefore, nthwy wouldn’t be participating.
According to the group leader, any body was at liberty to solicit support for Ahmed abola Tinubu candidacy, but solidarity wasn’t part of SWAGA’23’s agenda, and those of its affiliates, hence, they won’t be committed to December 1st rally.
“Every group agitating for Asiwaju Tinubu is free to do their own thing in whatever way they like. We are not the licensing authority. We are not also the clearinghouse. What we are saying is that as at now, no other group has contacted us at the leadership level of SWAGA’23. We are not involved in the one million-person march.
“If we have any such plan in the nearest future or as part of a long-term plan, definitely, in our own manner of doing things, Nigerians will know.
“I am the National Secretary of SWAGA’23. I can tell you authoritatively that nobody has contacted the Central Working Committee of SWAGA ’23 as a body.”
