Ahead of expected Commissioners’ list to be sent to Nasarawa State House of Assembly soon for screening and confirmation as members of the state Executive Council, governor Abdullahi Sule has disclosed that three female Commissioners will make the list.
He made the pronouncement at the thanksgiving ceremony of the State All Progressive Congress APC, Chairman, Dr. John Mamman in his home town, Dari in Kokona Local Government Area saying that, “in the awaiting Commissioners’ list are three females
Who will serve at the State Executive Council.
Governor Sule responded to a request by the State women leader of APC, while delivered her goodwill message at the ceremony, she asked for more women to be part of the awaiting Commissioners list.
“I will appoint one woman each from the 3 Senatorial zone that we have in the State for equal representations, just as he pointed out that women will get more political appointments in his administration in no distance time.
Governor Sule who used the occasion to commend APC chairman for his relentless efforts in moving the party forward.
It could be recalled that, Governor Abdullahi Sule had appointed 2 females as Commissioners in the last cabinet which include, Hajiya Halima Ahmadu Jabiru and Hajiya Fati Jimmaita who served in ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and Education, Science and Technology respectively
