Maize Association Coordinator, Abdullahi gets award
The Niger State coordinator of Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN) Hajiya Aisha Gogo Abdullahi has been presented with a meritorious award for her commitment and dedication to the association in the North Central states.
The award which was presented to her by the association within the North Central states was aimed at encouraging her to put more efforts in her commitment in improving the well beings of members.
Presenting the award at Doko international Hotel in Minna, the Niger Sate capital at the Weekend, the National president of MAFAN Alhaji Abubakar Bello Anzar described Hajiya Aisha Abdullahi as a workaholic who’s commitment and dedication to the association could not be overemphasize.
According to him, she has took the association to the deserving pedestal since the inception of the MAAN which informed the collective decision of the members to present her with the award which he noted was the first of its kind in the history of the association.
The president who was represented by the North Central states, president of the association Mr. James Kolo reiterated that MAAN will continue to encourage members of the association across the country to emulate the commitment of Hajiya Aisha inorder to receive similar award.
He noted that the association which came in to existence in 2017 has continue to grow more stronger with membership cut across the country was established to increase maize productions in the country stressing that it will equally creat employment opportunity to the teaming unemployed youths.
He pointed that since the inception of the association it has contributed meaningfuly to the social economy development of the country through job creation among the increasing unemployed graduates adding that it has equally reduced youths restiveness across the country.
He appealed to the states government and relevants stakeholders in agricultural development to partner with the association towards addressing the increasing rates of food insecurity that is pervading country.
The president of the association while appreciating the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Anchor Borrowers for its support to the association, he then appealed for more synergy from other agencies to enable the association creat more job to our youths.
Receiving the award, the state coordinator of MAAN in Niger State Hajiya Aisha Gogo Abdullahi stated that the award came to her with a ride surprise as ” I never thought that all I was doing was being monitored.”
She promised to be more committed than now to earned her more of such award in the nearest future.
She then admonished the young farmers in the country to key into maize farming to improve their financial status stressing that maize farming is a lucrative agricultural products that was being recognized across the country and beyond.
While commending the association for presenting her the award she pledged her unflishing commitment and dedication to the association at all times.
