Popular actress, Hafsat Idris dragged to Court for breach of N1 million contract
A Kannywood actress, Hafsat Idris is currently facing litigation for collecting N1 million to play a role in a film, but which she failed to feature.
She was sued by by a United Kingdom entertainment and a film production out fit for a breach of contract.
In a suit before a Kano High Court 14 sitting at Ungogo Local Government, the actress was accused of collecting N1.3 million to feature in a TV series but ending up not fulfiling the terms of the agreement reportedly signed by both parties.
The plaintiff averred in Court that her failure to act has incurred the film outfit a serious liability which has resulted to claiming damages from her.
The firm asked the court to award N10 million as damages against the actress.
The defendant, through her attorney, filed a formal response to the claims.
The court adjourned the case for hearing.
