Plateau Varsity, Globethics Geneva Switzerland partner on ethics in higher education
Globethics.net, Geneva, Switzerland has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Ethics in Higher Education to partner with the Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
Executive Director of the Globethics.net, Professor Monsignor Doctor Obiora Ike, delightfully announced the new partnership Monday 8th November, 2021, at its headquarters at Geneva Switzerland, with its new partnership Consortium members, namely; Plateau State University, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria
Professor Doctor Obiora Ike stated “we had the pleasure of learning more about the Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria, a very important fast growing and leading State University in the North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria, as reported by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Yohana Izam, and the Director of Partnerships and External Relations, Professor Andrew Danjuma.
The two top management officers of the Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria led by the Vice Chancellor Professor Yohana Izam were on a four day duty tour of the Globethics.net, from 6th-9th November, 2021, at the invitation of Professor Monsignor Doctor Obiora Francis Ike, the Executive Director of the Globethics net, Geneva, Switzerland, and also the Pro-Chancellor of the Plateau State University PLASU Bokkos Plateau State Nigeria.
The Globethics net Executive Director expressed great pleasure to commence a working relationship together with the Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria, on teacher training, exchanges and more activities to embed ethics and inclusion in Higher Education in Nigeria.
The Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria, founded in year 2005 by the Plateau State Government of Nigeria, is one of the highly rated State- owned Universities in Nigeria, especially, within the six Nigerian States in the North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria, namely; Benue State, Kogi State, Niger State, Niger State, Kwara State, Nasarawa State and Plateau State.
Globethics.net, Geneva, Switzerland, was represented at the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by its President and Founder Professor Christophe Stuckelberger, the Executive Director, Professor Doctor Obiora Ike and the Deputy Executive Director Doctor Lucy Howe Lopez, and other officials pictured in the group photoshoot with the the representatives of the Plateau State University, PLASU, Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria, in the person of the Vice-Chancellor Professor Daniel Yohana Izam and the Director of Partnerships and External Relations, Professor Andrew Danjuma.

The partnership which is renewable annually is expected to deepen research and training exposure of the University as well as mainstreaming ethics in its teaching and research as the University explores increased impact in the knowledge based enterprise.
