Niger to host the 13th Annual International Fashion Festival in Africa (FIMA 2021)
International Fashion Festival in Africa, FIMA 2021 will be held from December 1-5 in the Republic of Niger’s capital city Niamey. For four consecutive nights, the African Fashion Festival will welcome thousands of visitors and fashion celebrities in the magical and unique décor around the awesome desert on the Niger Republic.
The 13th edition of the International Festival of Fashion in Africa is a rebound of creation, beauty, and cultural exchange, long-awaited since its last edition in 2019. Known as the Magician of the desert, Alphadi is an internationally renowned fashion designer, ambassador of peace at UNESCO, and founder of FIMA.
Since 1998, the birth of FIMA, he proudly invites all the stakeholders of the African fashion Industry from all over the world, on stage in his hometown Niger.
This event aims to bring together all the African countries, their Diasporas, and international guests to discover and share all the cultural wealth, expertise, and creativity of Africa. For about 25 years, FIMA has been involved in the promotion of culture, art, and tourism in Niger, but especially in Africa, as evidenced by the triptych: Culture, Peace and Development.
For this 2021 edition, the guest of honor has been chosen to be Côte d’Ivoire, a valued destination representing a rich cultural mosaic.
All security and convenience measures will be taken and provided by the host country with the support of the President of the Republic of Niger, Mr. Mohamed BAZOUM.
Different areas will be set up in order to offer tailor-made support:
A press zone dedicated to the major national and international media;

An artists’ area bringing together the talents of Africa; a VIP area welcoming fashion personalities; a self-catering area.
