Coronation rites: NMA Chairman felicitates with Ata Igala designate, pledges support

As Ata Igala designate, Prince Alaji Mathew Opaluwa had a triumphant entry into the ancient town of Ugwolawo to begin the ritual of occupying the stool of his ancestors, the Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kogi State Chapter, Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh wished him a successful completion of the traditional rites.
The State NMA Chairman who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Igala nation apex socio-cultural group, Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA) disclosed this in a brief interview with journalists in Lokoja on Monday, pledging the support of his professional association to work with the medical team put in place for the coronation exercise.
Dr Oyiguh also added that the Association is looking forward to a robust interaction with the palace towards a fatherly role in improving community support for healthcare delivery in the State.
However, the NMA chairman stressed that since the new Ata designate came on the scene from the podium of justice and principle of fair play, it behold, the Igala nation will witness unprecedented development during his reign in the kingdom.
