Former Corps Marshall of the Federal Roads Safety Commission, (FRSC) Osita Chidoka has lamented that no Igbo politician distributed flyers at the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), national congress to aspire for Presidency in 2023.

He expressed doubt as to the seriousness of any Igbo politician intending to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.

Change of Name

Chidoka who was also the Minister of Aviation during the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration stated that no Igbo politician could share a common leaflet at the ongoing PDP national convention.

He however said serious ones from the northern part of the country did share flyers canvassing for support to win the party’s ticket and were seriously mobilising people towards their aspirations.

Chidoka listed some of them to include former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.

“At the PDP convention Atiku, Tambuwal, Bala Mohammed, Kwankwaso, Saraki dominated the Arena with Presidential posters. No Igbo man even shared leafleta” Chidoka said in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the former President of the Senate and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim declared publicly that he would contest for Presidency in 1023.

Anyim, a lawyer hails from Ebonyi in the South Eastern Nigeria.
