5-man Appeal Committee storms Jos over Plateau APC Congress

The APC five man Appeal Panel constituted by the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC saddled with the responsibility in listening to the aggrieved members of the party in Plateau State following the conduct of the State Congress has arrived Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

Chairman of the Appeal Panel and former Speaker of Borno State, Rt. Hon. Bulama Fugu Ibrahim while briefing Journalists at the Plateau APC Secretariat on Tuesday said the committee’s responsibility assigned to them by the National Secretariat is to listen to aggrieved members of the party, received petitions and complaints if any as a result of the State Congress conducted on the 16th October, 2021 in the state and write their report and submit to the National Secretariat of the APC.

Ibrahim who lead four other members of the panel to Jos said as from Tuesday, 2pm, when the Committee arrived the State Secretariat, no petition or complaints has been submitted to the panel, saying their assignment is to last for one week period and thereafter submit their reports to the National Secretariat for action to be taken.

The Appeal Panel assures all aggrieved members to submit their petitions and complaints, saying they will do justice in their responsibility.

Meanwhile the factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Ishaya Itse has accused the panel of playing games with their responsibility and failing to be at the APC Secretariat on Monday after arriving Sunday in Jos and decided to be at the party office late afternoon on Tuesday and not the initial 10am time.

Hon. Itse while speaking with journalists in Jos said already there is threat to his life, and said he went to the APC Secretariat from 10am to 3pm and the panel were still absent, so he has decided to take his petition himself to the National Secretariat, Abuja.

It would be recalled that a factional body of the party emerged after the APC Congress which was conducted on the 16th October, 2021 that produced the former Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Rufus Bature on consensus as the Chairman of the Party.
