Police arrests suspected armed robber, recovered bag loaded with charms, pistol in Kogi

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force attached to Adogo Division in Kogi Central Senatorial district have arrested a suspected armed robber and recovered locally fabricated pistol, live cartridges and a bag fully loaded with charms.

The suspect was arrested, while on a routine stop and search duty along Adogo-Itobe expressway led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Clement Eyah who intercepted and arrested one Akeem Daniel belonging to a gang that have been terrorizing Adogo and its environs.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Ovye Aya stated that the arrest was made possible following intensive intelligence led operations to reassure members of the public and to secure the highway with a view to arrest criminal elements and bring them to justice. Some of the exhibits recovered from the suspect include; one locally made fabricated Pistol, two cartridges and a bag containing charms.

Suspect will be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.
