Bandits Commander surrender after 2 of his child bandits were killed in gun battle
A notorious bandits Commander known as Alhaji na Miata (Alhaji of women) has surrendered after a deadly gun battle with Joint Security Taskforce that got two of his biological children killed.
The gang leader who has been terrorising Shiroro communities in Niger State and who has been feared by residents of the Local Government turned a new leaf and surrendered his weapons directly to the Taskforce who were detailed to restore peace in Niger at all cost.
Specifically, the criminal surrendered at Iburo community after a deadly battle with the Joint Taskforce.
A resident and an operative who didn’t want his name mentioned revealed that his gang is one of the most powerful group operating in that axis, and were responsible for multiple attacks that led to heavy casualties around Shiroro communities, stressing to Munya Local Government Council.
“After the killing of his two children during an operation by the Joint Security TaskForce, he decided to repent and surrender his weapons (about three AK 47 riffles) to the security agents.
“As I speak to you now, he has relocated from Iburo here to Dandaudu village in Munya local government area with his family. He was formerly rearing cattle in the area before joining banditry.’
However, Niger State Police Command was yet to issue any statement on the development.
CAPITAL POST recalled that Shiroro community and other adjoining LGs have been a battle ground for bandits and Boko Haram terrorists who have been struggling to have their foothold in Niger State.
