Gombe governor, Yahaya mourns vigilante commander killed by bandits
Gombe State governor, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with the people of Katah-Kamo community in Kaltungo Local Government Area of the State over death of Commander of a local hunter group, Bello Maiduna.
The hunter Commander was reportedly killed by gunmen suspected to be bandits.
Governor Yahaya on Saturday sent delegation which included Commissioner for Information and Culture, Julius Ishaya; Special Advisers on Health and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Commissioner for Internal Security and Ethical Orientation, Adamu Dishi-Kupto, to commiserate with the affect people of the community, saying he felt the pain.
The governor’s delegation were received by the district head of Kamo Alhaji Nuhu Adamu who commended the governor for identifying with them in time of challenges.
Delegation expressed sadness over the death of the Commander, Bello Maiduna, saying the deceased was a patriotic Nigerian who paid the supreme price while fighting bandits.
The governor promised to support the family of the deceased for his contribution to the security of lives and property of the State.
