Bandits vows to marry off kidnapped female Corper, if ransom isn’t paid on time

Bandits have threatened to marry off a female corper, Miss Lorliam Jennifer Awashima who was kidnapped on her way to the National Youth Service Corps, orientation camp in Kebbi State.

The kidnappers have demanded for ransom with ultimatum, threatening that the Corper would be married off, or got killed if ransom isn’t paid on time as they cannot afford to kill her.

The development was posted on a journalist’s Facebook from Benue State who didn’t disclose his name.

A family relative of the victim posted a screenshot of the the Facebook confirming bandits’ request.

The kidnappers have contacted Jennifer’s family demanding for N3 million ransom.

“The bandits called, they’re requesting (sic) N3 million naira last,” Juliet stated in a message. They threatened to kill her or marry her off if we didn’t pay the money.”

Jennifer, a graduate of Benue State University’s Department of English, was abducted in Zamfara State on Tuesday evening, October 19.

She was on her way to Kebbi State, where she will serve in the country for the mandated one-year period.
