Breaking: Mathew Alaji Opaluwa emerges new Attah Igala

Kogi State government on Monday in Lokoja has announced Mathew Alaji Opaluwa as the new Attah Igala.

He succeeded late Dr. Idakwo Ameh Oboni II who died at a private hospital, Abuja in August 2020.

Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ozigi Mohammed Deedat made this announcement after the State Executive Council meeting held in Government House, Lokoja.

The appointment of Attah Igala has become a subject of political and surreptitious interest, thereby dragged the development for more than one year now.

Governor Yahaya Bello at a time insisted that due diligence would be observed in the appointment.
