Breaking: Major crisis hits Kaduna APC as Senators Uba Sani, Kwari, Minister, stakeholders boycott congress in protest
As State congresses of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) held across the country to elect State party executives on Saturday, Kaduna State chapter has been necked deep in crisis with Senator Uba Sani representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district boycotted the congress in protest.
The Kaduna State APC has been vulnerable in months due to the alledged high handedness of governor Nasir El-Rufai who is the party leader in the State.
Other prominent members who boycotted the congress are the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Mohammed Mahmood Abubakar, and Senator Audu Kwari among others.
Their absence didn’t only portray deep crisis, but speaks of unmitigated disaster waiting to happen anytime soon, according to a source who spoke with our correspondent in Kaduna.
The source said: “You know what it means for these men to boycott? This is Kaduna and I tell the battle has just begun.”
CAPITAL POST has weeks ago reported that there was protracted crisis in Kaduna APC between the State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai and his political godson, Senator Uba Sani even as the lawmaker was not allowed to produce LG executives during the last Congress.
