Breaking: Kaduna: KASUPDA boss, Dikko released hours after EFCC’s arrested him

Reports reaching CAPITAL POST indicated that the Managing Director of Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency (KASUPDA), Alhaji Samaila Umar Dikko has been released.

He was released after spending five hours with the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kaduna zonal office on Monday.

One side of the reports said he was grilled on issues related to financial transactions, details are however sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

Another reports noted that there were plethora of petitions against him which in the consideration of the EFCC were not weighty enough to deserve his continued detention.

A source hinted that there were pressures from government circles for his release which could not be confirmed by CAPITAL POST on Monday.

Dikko before his ascension to become the Managing Director of KASUPDA was a political aide of the State governor, Malam Ahmad Nasiru El-Rufai

As at Monday noon, the management of KASUPDA were yet to issue any official statement regarding the arrest and release of their boss.
