Kogi governor, Bello mourns demise of Jukun’s paramount ruler, Dr. Shekarau Angyu, Kuvyo II, says it’s a loss to nation
Following the announcement of demise of the paramount and supreme ruler of Jukun race and Chairman of Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty, Dr. Shekarau Angyu, Kuvyo II (CON) at the age of 84, governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, said it’s a loss to the nation.
Bello in a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu, described the death of the late king as a huge loss, while he consoles with Taraba people and the nation.
Governor Bello expressed that the Royal father was a renowned man of peace who led the Kwararafa Race for 45 years and brought remarkable peace and prosperity to it.
He noted that the highly revered paramount ruler would be greatly missed for his fatherly roles in the state, the North East Geopolitical Zone and the nation as a whole.
The Governor similarly extended his condolences to the family of the late Royal father, noting that he lived a fulfilled life serving his people in the long years of his reign on the throne.
While he prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal repose, he prayed also for God to grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss.
His death was announced on Sunday in a press statement signed by the SA Media to Aku-Uka, Jolly Agbu Massa-IBB, where he noted that final traditional rites would be announced in due course
