Plateau LG polls: Pam casts vote in Tahel, Gyel district, Jos South
The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam was in his polling booth at Tahei, Gyel District of Jos South Local Government Area where he exercised his civic responsibility by casting his vote to elect a new Chairman and Councillors for Jos South Local Government Council.
The NCPC boss arrived at the polling unit at exactly 10:20am and cast his vote at 10: 30 am .
In his address after casting his vote, the NCPC Chief Executive said he was satisfied with the peaceful conduct of the election. He added that he was happy to be at home to cast his vote to elect new leaders for Jos South Local Government Council.
His words,” we are happy to be at home here in Gyel, Tahei”. “The report here is that the election is going on very smoothly and peaceful”.
He further affirmed that he received reports from Jos North Local Government Area that the election was peaceful as well as Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.
To this effect, he said,” I am happy to witness that this election is peaceful and progressing very well”.
Rev Pam acknowledged that the people conducted themselves very well.
The NCPC boss was warmly received with pomp and pageantry at the polling unit by women and youth of Tahei.
Prior to the October 9 Local Government polls in Plateau State, which was conducted by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC , the NCPC boss interfaced with church leaders in Jos canvassing for a peaceful Local Government polls devoid of violence of any form .
