State APC Chairman, Mamman commended for constructing mosque in Nasarawa community
Dari muslims community in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State salutes State All Progressives Congress Caretaker committee chairman, Dr. John Mamman for construction of a mosque.
Speaking to our correspondent who was in Dari, Abubakar Damina commended the efforts of Dr. Mamman who is a non Muslim, but came to their rescue for building a mosque for muslims to worship their God.
“As you can see or known that the State chairman of APC, Dr. Mamman is not a Muslim yet he took it upon himself to carry out this project for muslims to worship their God.
“This has shown clearly that he is not among the religious fanatics. He said.
In his contribution, Adamu Auta who lives in Dari for more than 50 years pointed out that, this is the first of its kind that non Muslim come to the aid of Muslim to build a worshipping place in the area.
He prayed to Allah to continue to protect and reward, Dr. Mamman in all his endeavors, just as he urged other personalities to emulate the spirit of oneness and brotherhood.
In an interview, the State Caretaker Committee chairman, Dr. John Mamman said that he came in to give a helping hand as a result of some challenges in construction or building the mosque which is expected to serve as Jumma’at mosque.
He further explained that more reason are consider that most of people within the community are farmers and the farming activities is no longer as use to be following conflicts between famers and headers.
“With this few things I mentioned, I decided to come in at some level to contribute my own quota in ensuring work at the mosque reach some stages or is completed for my muslims brothers to have a place for worship.
Dr. Mamman continued that despite being a Christian he owned a duty as community leader to extend hands of fellowship to other worshipers.
“As State chairman of APC I am a community leader I administer all the religions without any sentiment. He stated.
Findings revealed that, Dari community is predominantly Christians, Traditional worshipers and Muslims who constituted 20- 30 of the populations of the area.
