COVID-19: No face mask, no movement policy begins in Abuja

In Abuja, government has commenced “a no face mask a no movement”,  as a precautionary measure to stem the tide of coronavirus prevalence. 


The policy is occasioned by the upsurge in number of index cases in the Federal Capital Territory in the last one week, particularly to curb what they called community transmission. 

Change of Name


As part of the measures,  was also adoption of strict safety standards, such as wearing of face mask, avoiding  handshake, washing of hands with running water or alcoholic base sanitizer, social distancing and coughing  into your elbow or handkerchief.


The Taskforce were seen enforcing the wearing of face mask before people are allowed to access markets in any part of the Federal Capital Territory.

 
The major markets are scheduled to open to the general public every Monday Wednesday and Saturday for people to buy food stuff and groceries between the hours of 10am to 2:00pm.
