Police on patrol arrested a 25 year old man having sex with goat in Jigawa

A 25 year old man was caught having sex with goat in a forest near Gwaram Local Government Council in Jigawa State by Police who were on patrol.

The suspect alledgedly had sexual intercourse with goat in a forest, but his name was undisclosed by the Police to avoid being lynched for committing abomination.

Police Public Relations Officer of Jigawa State Police Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu confirmed the development to newsmen in Dutse on Friday, adding, “the suspect was arrested by Police on patrol in a forest near Gwaram town.”

The PPRO said the suspect who was caught for bestiality is a resident of Kunnadi quarters.

“The arrest was made at about 0100hrs by the police from Gwaram Divisional Headquarters, while on patrol in Gwaram area and its environs.”

According to him, the suspect has been detained in order to investigate and prosecute him to serve as deterrent to others, saying that bestiality is a crime in Nigeria.

The Police said, what the suspect did was contrary to section 214 of the Nigerian criminal code act and is punishable for a jail term of seven years.
