Anambra State government has asked banks and other businesses to ignore the IPOB’s sit-at-home order and operate fully on Monday 13th September.

The directive of Anambra State government is at the backdrop of the indigenous Peoples of Biafra’s order to banks, private businesses and government offices that shut operations every Mondays that has grounded activities.

Following the order, business owners as well as banks have been closing offices out of fear of attacks throughout the State.

The State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba, in a statement on Saturday asked the people not to obey IPOB’s order out of fear.

He said adequate security has been made through conventional and intelligent agencies.

Adinuba said: “All dark spots in the State have been identified and far-reaching measures taken to end the blights”, insisting that banks, traders, transporters, other groups and individuals should resume full economic activity throughout the week with effect from Monday, September 13.
