LG Congress: Senator Abbo loses out, threatens Court action against APC
Chaos has rocked Adamawa State All To Congress, participating Mubi North and South Local Governments where APC Congress didn’t hold ASA result of Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo’s desperation to take control of party machineries.
Senator Abbo a defector from the Peoples Democracy Party, a platform that brought him to the 9th National Assembly as Senator representing Adamawa North Senator district.
The lawmaker’s grouse, CAPITAL POST, learnt was that APC has failed to carry out reconciliation as promised, saying
the party’s failure to hold the congress in the Mubi North and Mubi South local government areas has further deepened crisis instead of abating it.
It was recalled that Senator Abbo poured vituperation against Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri when he defected to APC and vowed to remove him from office in 2023 as he will contest for governorship on the platform of his new party, APC.
Former governor of Adamawa and a stalwart of APC, Jibrilla Bindow was also interested in contesting re-election in 2023, but also suffered the same fate.
Other APC stakeholders have threatened to take the party to court for failing to convene congresses, as well as to pay the party in its currency in 2023. They claimed that hijacking party institutions do not result in electoral victory.
