LG poll: Details of how El-Rufai lost polling unit, Chairman, Councillor to PDP emerge
Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has been confirmed to have lost his polling unit – Ward Area Ungwan Sarki Polling unit at Marnona road Code 024 in Kaduna.
The result sheet bearing Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) of El-Rufai’s polling unit has the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scoring 86 against APC’s 62.
Also CAPITAL POST which monitored the poll on Saturday authoritatively report that the APC has lost Councillorship to PDP in the governor’s Ward and the Chairman Local Government Chairman, too.
The Presiding Officer, Muhammad Sani, who announced the results, of the total vote cast of 159, said the PDP polled 86 votes as against the APC’s 62 votes for the chairmanship position.
In the Councillorship result announced, the opposition PDP also defeated the ruling APC with 100 votes against 53.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Kaduna State Independent Electoral Comission (KADSIECOM), Saratu Audu-Dikko, has said that about 41 Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) were snatched and Electoral Officers assaulted during the election in Igabi and Giwa Local Government Areas.
Earlier in the day after the governor vast vote, he told reporters that he wanted a free and election, stating that there was nothing for him to rig the LG election in Kaduna.
In the overall Kaduna North LG where El-Rufai haila from has been clinched by the PDP Chairman as Chairman.
