COVID-19: Bello’s show of shame as PDP urge prayers for governor
Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described Yahaya Bello’s appearance on Channels Television on Sunday as a show of shame.
The party advised the people to pray for the governor, saying that, he has shown his his preparedness die the God forbidden coronavirus in Kogi.
The State chapter of PDP was reacting to Bello’s interview on Channels where he explained that, “his administration has launched App to monitor coronavirus in Kogi.”
In a statement in Lokoja, by the Director, Research and Documentation, Achadu Dickson, said the governor would have been silent on the issue rather than exposed what the party described “as dirty linen of unpreparedness and unseriousness of his administration in the current fight against oronavirus pandemic.”
The party insisted that prayer was the way out as the current administration has shown its emptiness, suggesting that the State cannot even treat one index case of coronavirus.
“PDP has reiterated on several occasion on the need for the people of the state to embark on prayers for the deadly disease not to visit Kogi.
“No effort of government has been put in place in case of any eventuality.
The party asked governor Yahaya Bello to bury his head in shame and continue his exercise in his gym, lamenting that under Yahaya Bello and APC, Kogi is already a failed state.
PDP said other governors are making efforts to making sure the lives of their people are protected, but Kogi people continue to experiences failure of governance.
