Kogi governor, Bello under ‘heavy criticism’ for saying Kogi launched App to monitor COVID-19 on Television
The Executive governor of Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has come under serious criticism from Nigerians for saying the state has develop an App, to monitor Covid19.
The governor made this statement on a live interview with Seun Okinbaloye of Channel TV. During the session, Seun asked the governor the number of Kogites that has been tested for covid19 and the governor responded that, they have launched and App. He went further to explain that, no one has shown any symptoms of covid19 or any need to carry out test on the citizens.
The governor said, government can not be going round, picking people at random for the purpose of carrying out test. He however assure Seun that if there is need to carry out test on any kogite, that FCT and Irrua in Edo state are close to the state.
The statement by the young governor has sparked reactions among Nigerians as they immediately took to twitter and make Yahaya Bello trend and make jest of the governor.
