Revelation Church to embark on charity drive to feed the homeless
Revelation Church of Jesus Christ aka Revelation Church LA will embark on a food and grocery drive aimed at supporting the needy and feeding the homeless around Los Angeles. The food, grocery and clothing distribution drive which is an initiative of the church women’s empowerment platform will commence from the 26th of August through the 4th of September 2021.
According to Maggy Soas, lead Prophetess at Revelation Church Of Jesus Christ (RCJC), who also heads the women outreach arm of the church, the aim of the drive is to raise enough materials and supplies to assist and also feed at least 300 needy and/or homeless people around Los Angeles. She said at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic infections and subsequent lockdown the church supported almost 150 families through her various non profit platforms. “So far We have fed over 650 families since January till date, equivalent to 5,038 individuals. We know the church members cannot do it alone so we decided to involve non member and friends from around the world.
She told our correspondent that the objective of this initiative for the church to provide not just spiritual, but also mental and physical nourishment in keeping with the church’s core values of building stronger families through biblical and practical means. “The outpouring of support has been overwhelming so far and even though the main aim was to raise groceries and food supplies people have responded by giving money and articles of clothing too” she said.
Revelation Church of Jesus Christ (RCJC) was found by Prophet Lovy Elias in 2013 as a Bible study group but later graduated into the non profit it is today in 2017.
