Insecurity: Plateau Reps member applauds security agents for action against Bandits
Deputy Chairman Reps Committee on Corruption and member representing Jos South Federal Constituency in the House Reps, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has commended the bravery and gallantry of the combined team of the Inspector General of Police (IRT) and Operation Safe Haven in neutralizing 6 kidnappers in Mangu LGC of Plateau State.
Bagos in a press statement signed by his Media Aide, Mr Danja Yakubu and issued to Journalists in Jos on Tuesday evening described the action as a welcome development.
“This proactive and responsive development is not only commendable and reassuring but also a sad reminder that Plataau State is still in the books of criminal elements aimed at destabilizing the State at all cost”
“Sadly, in the crossfire, we lost two brave men of the Nigeria Police. These Heroes call must not go unnoticed and unrewarded to encourage our security forces that their plight will not end in vainglory.
He said the victory however, should propel security agencies to do further.
“I however want to task the security forces not to relent, but continue to pursue the course of a safe and peaceful Plateau State,” he said.
The Lawmaker call on all the youths not to relent in watching out for these criminal elements and to work with security agencies in apprehending them to justice.
It will be recalled that last week, one Likita Abubakar was apprehended with over 200 live ammunition enroute Plateau State.
The six other gang members are still at large and pose serious security threat to the lives and properties of all citizens. The security must redouble efforts at apprehending these criminals, according to Hon. Bagos.
