Police arrests 4 suspected bandits, recover 2 locally made guns on Niger
Four suspected bandits have been arrested by the operatives
of Puff Adder II of Niger State Police Command attached to Kagara Division.
The squad is a special unit set up to implement and restore peace in Niger State.
The Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun disclosed that the suspects who includes Shehu Usman, 21yrs, Idris Ado, 20yrs, Nasiru Dogo a.k.a Badari, 21yrs and Umar Yahaya, 21 yrs, all ‘m’ were arrested at Fulani camp, near Garun-gabas village of Rafi LGA.
According to him, they were arrested based on intelligence report about their activities in the State.

Abiodun added that the suspects were intercepted and arrested with two locally fabricated guns while on their way to Garun-gabas market.
During their interrogation, the Police said, the suspects confessed to some of their cattle rustling escapades at Garun-gabas and Garun-dangana villages and its environs in Rafi LGA.
Abiodun said the suspects also confessed further that the two locally fabricated guns belong to their gang leader; one Lawal Mumuni, who is currently at large.
Abiodun said effort to apprehend the said Mumuni is ongoing as the case is under investigation, adding that they will be charged in Court after investigation.
