Anambra guber: APC inaugurates campaign commitee, vows to push APGA out

The Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Mai Mala Buni has inaugurated the National Campaign Commitee for the November 6 Anambra state governorship election.
The inauguration took place at the party National Secretariat on Tuesday in Abuja.
The commitee has as its chairman, Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.
Also present at the inauguration were governors of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje including the
Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.
In his address, the CECPC chairman said members of the committee were cautiously selected considering their individual competence.
He further expressed conviction that the committee will capture the state for the party.
He said: “the members of the committee were carefully selected owing to your individual capacities and the believe that you will collectively as a committee deliver the state to the party.
“You are enjoined to work as a team and to carry everyone on board. You are also advised to reconcile seeming differences within members of the party which might have arose following the governorship primary, for us to confront the election with a united front.
“I have no doubt this powerful committee under the chairmanship of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, will do us proud and capture Anambra state to APC.
“I am glad to say with sense of satisfaction the growing fortunes of the party in Anambra state and the South East geopolitical zone in general has increased our hope for victory. This will no doubt increase our chance of winning the election with landslide victory.
He however urged commitee members to work as a team and avoid all forms of distraction that may likely arise in the course of carrying out this assignment.
“May l call on the committee to concentrate on issues that will add value to the success of the party and avoid issues that may distract us from the path of victory. We should remain resolute, committed and law abiding throughout the assignment and beyond.
“I also wish to call on the officials, party stakeholders and our loyal party members to support the committee in achieving its set target of delivering Anambra state to APC.
“To the people of Anambra state, this is an opportunity to belong to the national party, we should all support the committee for a successful assignment for a brighter future and for the good of Anambra State.
In his response, Chairman of the Committee and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma assured the party that the committee members will work hard to justify the confidence the party have in them.
Uzodinma assured that all members will be carried along in convincing the people of the state to vote massively for the party and APGA’s reign.
Also Speaking, the candidate of the APC governorship election, Senator Andy Uba said he is convinced that his party will succeed.
He pledge to work with aspirants that contested with him to ensure that the party come out victorious.
Anambra is currently ruled by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and by the end of Willy Obiano’s second tenure, the party would have ruled for 16 years.
